Clints Quarry

Unworked since the early 20th century, Clint’s Quarry is now quite overgrown. Some areas of scree can still be found however and within these coral fossils can be collected.

Location Information
	*Once an accumulation of scree is located, coral fossils should be fairly easy to find amongst the other barren rocks.*
	(Suitable for children) It is a short walk to access the quarry. Supervision is required with younger children due to the uneven terrain and deep water in places.
	The path to the quarry is fairly short and once inside you are pretty much free to roam around as you please. In places the quarry is overgrown, but there is a path that circles its outer area.
	Scree Fossiliferous rocks are found in piles of scree that have accumulated in various areas of the quarry.
ACCESS RIGHTS	SSSI Free access is allowed at Clint’s Quarry but as the location is an SSSI, plants and animals must not be collected and rock outcrops must not be defaced.
